How to edit building and space fields in LeaseUp
Updated over 2 months ago

Building data is stored at the survey level in LeaseUp. This means that if you add or delete a field to one building/space in a survey, this field will be shown or removed across all buildings/spaces in that survey.

The same is true for the order of building and space fields. If you change the order of fields in one building or space in a survey, that order will be reflected across all buildings/spaces in that survey.

Note: If a building is used in multiple surveys, data will not sync across surveys. Any changes made to building/space fields will only apply to the survey that building/space is in.

Add, remove, or reorder building fields

From a building page, click the pencil icon to open the building details drawer. You can edit building fields and data with the table at the bottom of the Building Details page.

Add a new field to the table by clicking the ‘Add a Field’ button. When a new field is added, it appears in the table immediately with placeholder text.

To remove a building field, click the data type icon next to the field name and select ‘Delete Field’.

Reorder building fields by clicking the six-dot icon on the far left of a row, then dragging the field to the desired location.

Click the ‘x’ icon at the top right of the screen to exit the Building Details page. The changes you made to the fields will now be reflected across all buildings in the survey.

Add, remove, or reorder space fields

From a building page, click the ‘Add/Edit Spaces’ link in the Spaces section. This opens the Space Details drawer.

To add a space field, click the ‘Add a Field’ button.

To remove a space field, click the data type icon next to the field name and select ‘Delete Field’.

Reorder space fields by clicking the six-dot icon on the far left of a row, then dragging the field to the desired location.

Click the ‘x’ icon at the top right of the screen to exit the Space Details drawer. The changes you made to the fields will now be reflected across all buildings in the survey.
