Additional tips for CSV import
Updated over a year ago
  • Organize your columns in the order in which you want them to appear in the app and PDF export to save time down the road.

  • Building data is saved when a building is removed from a survey. If you import into a survey using a CSV, you may see fields created by other team members on other surveys. Remember that changing a building field changes it everywhere for your team.

  • Spaces are duplicated if you double import. This is dangerous because cleanup requires removing everything from the survey, and you can lose comments in the process.

  • Surveys cannot be exported without a space.

  • The reserved field “Lease Type” matches, even though it is not displayed in the matching modal.

  • Only one row for a building needs building field values, additional rows per space do not need to have building fields (but they don't hurt).

  • Double importing building fields reverses their order but I cannot repeat, maybe just PDF?

  • Keep your building fields at the front of the CSV and your space fields at the back makes importing easier.
