Auto-Calculating Annual and Monthly Rent in Lease Up Survey

Step 1: Access the Survey 0:00

  • Open the lease up survey you want to work on.

  • Click on the bulk edit button.

Step 2: Navigate to the Spaces Tab 0:06

  • Go to the spaces tab within the survey.

Step 3: Add a New Field 0:14

  • Create a new field for rent.

  • Name it annual rent, monthly rent, or any preferred title.

Step 4: Set the Field as a Formula Field 0:19

  • Click on the A icon next to the field to set it as a formula field.

Step 5: Input the Formula 0:28

  • Click into any cell to add a formula for the entire survey.

  • Use the formula: SFAvailable * price per square foot.

Step 6: Calculate Monthly or Annual Rent 0:38

  • To calculate monthly rent, divide the result by 12.

  • For annual rent, keep the result as is.

Step 7: Ensure Proper Field Types 0:52

  • If you cannot find the fields for price per square foot or SF available, check their types:

    • They must be number fields, currency fields, or size fields.

Step 8: Finalize the Formula 1:16

  • Confirm that the formula is correctly set up for calculating annual or monthly rent in LeaseUp.
